Use this primer to speed the initial bonding, and enhance the ultimate bond strength, of 3M’s VHB (Very High Bond) tapes. Although not required, for maximum VHB performance, using this primer is highly recommended. With its thin, water-like viscosity, Primer 94 paints on easily. It is extremely fast drying — usually taking less than a minute! This primer is especially ideal for applying self-adhesive keel protectors for dinghies, where boat surface preparation is critical for a permanent installation. Should the small amount of Primer 94 supplied with each keel protector prove insufficuent, this is the product to buy.
