Saltillo tiles have been hand-made in Mexico for over 50 years. These tiles cannot be recreated by machines and are air dried versus the kiln drying of modern porcelain and ceramic. This tile adds a timeless rustic look to any room. It has a straight edge. Saltillo can either be sealed, or not sealed, it is a personal preference. Lay them in a grid pattern for a classic look or lay them in a diamond shape for a more modern appearance. Clay tiles are both eco-friendly and durable as they are made from all natural products.
