A simple, compact, and fully functional headlamps for kids 3 years of age or older, the Petzl Tikkid headlamp offers ‘grown up’ performance for young adventurers with safety features to appeal to parents. A large electronic push-button makes the headlamp easy to operate. The LED bulb produces a maximum brightness of 20 lumens in a flood beam that protects sensitive young eyes. A blinking white mode allows it be used as a signaling device and lets parents keep safe watch. The housing also has a ‘glow in the dark’ reflector that makes it easier to find the headlamp if it should be dropped in the dark. An adjustable headband allows the headlamp to comfortably fit explorers of varying ages and sizes. The Tikkid is powered by three Alkaline AAA batteries (included) and will also accept rechargeable Ni-MH batteries in size AAA or the Petzl Accu Core rechargeable battery (sold separately). With the standard batteries, the headlamp weighs 2.82 ounces. An automatic shut-off after one hour helps to keep the batteries from dying prematurely.
