Federal Signal Vibratone Vibrating horn produces a very loud horn tone with the electro-mechanical vibration of a stainless steel diaphragm. It has a range of up to 200 ft and can reproduce coded blasts or sustained tones by using control devices from a push button to a PLC. It has voltage rating of 120 VAC at 50/60 Hz and operating current of 0.18 Amps. Horn produces tone of 100 dB at 10 ft. It is enclosed in a zinc die-cast housing and has with grey powder-coat paint for resistance against corrosion. It is suitable for use with type 4X and type 12 when installed with surface mount trim ring and type 4X when installed with panel mount gasket kit or weatherproof backbox. Horn has a rugged construction to resist vandalism and the effects of harsh industrial environments. The heavy-duty construction of the compact sized horn makes it ideal for industrial and institutional signaling applications. It can be mounted in concrete deep wall constructions and on surface panels cabinets 4-Inch square outlet boxes. It is suitable for process control signaling in areas of high ambient noise levels and in general alarm start and dismissal coded paging. It measures 4.060 Inch x 2.500 Inch x 4.060 Inch. Horn is UL and cUL listed CSA certified and FM approved.
