The lightweight (0.8 oz) Ultimate Survival Technologies (UST) Sparkie has a unique one-hand operation that makes it simple to get fires started in any and all weather conditions. The retractable flint and carbide striker last for over 100 starts and ignite a wide range of tinder sources, including UST WetFire Tinder (sold separately). Housed in ultra-lightweight, durable plastic, the Sparkie’s flint-based bar and built-in striker generate a spark that is 3 times hotter than that of a match. The design of the Sparkie enables you to “throw” sparks in an intended direction to optimize efficiency and safety. When collapsed, the Sparkie measures just 2.3” x 2.0” x 0.5”.
